Autism Guernsey’s fashion show will return for the second year and promises to be an evening of glitz and glamour.
Models styled in a variety of evening outfits will take to the catwalk on Sunday 12th November, to raise much-needed funds for the autism charity. Organisers hope that the island’s fashionistas will support the event along with their family and friends.
The fashion show will showcase an array of 32 evening and cocktail outfits, all of which have been generously donated by generous individuals as well as Guernsey Cheshire Homes and Go charity shops.
‘Many of the items are new, unworn and some even still have the price tags attached, making this the perfect opportunity to buy an outfit ahead of the Christmas party season,’ says Mandy Morris, Office Manager at Autism Guernsey.
‘Following the amazing feedback we received after last year’s fashion show, we decided to host another event. Last year we raised £1,700, and we hope to top that this year.
‘As well as raising funds, the evening was great fun and a lot of people came away with some fantastic bargains.’
The Wicked Wolf is generously hosting the event and their support, along with some well-known Guernsey personalities, promises to help make the night a success for the charity.
Island FM’s Laura Clayton will be modelling at the event, and DJ Josh Gabriel will compere the evening and keep the music flowing.
A raffle will also be held in between the fashion show and auction.
‘We are very excited about this next event as we have even more fantastic outfits to auction and additional rails of clothes to purchase on the night,’ comments Mrs Morris.
Tickets are £10.00 per person or £15.00 which will include a glass of prosecco on arrival, with a selection of nibbles for guests to enjoy during the raffle. There will be a licensed bar available throughout the evening; doors will open at 2.00pm with the fashion show starting at 2.30pm.
To purchase your ticket, or to donate evening clothes, jewellery or accessories to the fundraiser, please call or email Mandy at Autism Guernsey; office@autismguernsey.org.gg or 01481 245272.
