Autism Guernsey hosted a fun afternoon tea at Les Cotils with a Mad Hatter’s theme. All the staff dressed up as characters from Alice in Wonderland and raised nearly £1,300. Apart from the delicious afternoon tea, the afternoon included beauty treatments such as hair styling, mini manicure, facials and make-overs. The beauticians kindly donated their time and guests were charged £5 per treatment. There was also rails of clothes, shoes and handbags for sale, together with DVD’s. The guests took part in a ‘Riddles’ quiz to win a bottle of Prosecco and children enjoyed colouring Alice in Wonderland pictures. Isabella Powis, an 8 year old girl with autism, kindly sold her own hand-made Christmas gifts in aid of Autism Guernsey.
All in all an enjoyable and fun afternoon.
