A Very Humbling Evening

A fantastic evening was had by all at the Guernsey Community Foundation Achievement Awards at St. James on 31st October.  We were so proud of Sandra Robilliard, our volunteer with Asperger’s, who was short-listed for the Outstanding Individual Achievement Award. Although Sandra didn’t win she had an amazing experience and commented “I am still struggling to believe I made it to the shortlist. It was both a humbling and a proud moment seeing my name and the photos on the big screen. Things like this don’t usually happen to me (or at least they never used to, but amazing things have been happening since I became involved with Autism Guernsey).”   What more could we ask for!

Congratulations to all the nominees and winners, you all thoroughly deserved it.  Everybody did an amazing job to host such a wonderful evening and we were blown away by MIND’s Hope Singers who sang beautifully.
